The Mysterious Whole Body Rash of 2020

3 years ago, I began my journey of gardening and trying not to kill everything I own. I've had successes and plenty of failures. But I have learned along the way and now I keep over 100 plants alive and I even propogate and grow new ones! Yay me! 🪴🌷

Since then, I have been dealing with a mysterious rash. Every year around April-June. (not the entire 3 yrs! I would have ripped my skin off.)

The first year was a WHOLE BODY RASH. I was terrified. Not knowing what it was, where it came from, or how to avoid it. Multiple doctors were stumped. Steroids (shot and creams) actually made it 10x worse! 

I had ONE doctor give me a anti-fungal cream which was by far the best. But she also suggested Sarna Lotion at the local drug store. It has a specific ingredient called Pramoxine Hydrochloride. Best combo I've found that helped. 

By August, it was finally gone. But right after it went away, I got shingles in THE WORST place ever!!! (I was only 30!) But that's another weird story. 

Skip ahead to the next year and sure enough.. It came back. And same thing this year. Thankfully, I was somewhat prepared and only had the rash in localized spots. 

After racking my brain and thinking about what is in my garden that would do this. I came up with nothing! But we have this vine all along our driveway. I found out that this vine with the pretty orange flowers is literally called 'Cow Itch Vine'. At least, that's one of its names.

These flowers are pretty and smell great, but they produce an oil that causes skin irritation and rashes. I've never touched them, but I'm thinking my cat may have had the oils on her. She goes outside during the day and stays inside at night.

So I'm currently dealing with the rash behind my knee. Yeah... Where the leg folds. Great. That's going to take forever to heal... Not to mention drive me crazy!!! 

So I timed it this year. 5 days after the flowers bloomed came the rash. So I KNOW that HAS to be what it is. 

All I know is I'm about to BURN 🔥 every piece of that vine and I have ZERO reservations about what else dies with it! 3 years dealing with this rash is enough.

Everyone Needs Their Own Space

I'm not typically a "writer". I tried keeping journals growing up. Never stuck. But for some reason, I feel the urge to write about this.

For those that don't know, I struggle with depression. I have for a long time. Never knew what it was. Until one doctor saw something and tested me. Thank goodness he did. 

Now, I'm doing a hell of a lot better. And one way I found that helps is having your own space.

(BACK STORY)

I have my own 'she shed'. 

     - Yes. It's amazing. 

     - Yes. I'm spoiled. 

     - No. I am not finished with it! (Maybe I'll update about it!)

It's the most perfect thing in my possession. And it's all mine!

Introducing: The Floof House

AKA The Cat Shack, Kitty Condo, my happy place! 

ANYWAY..... 

I absolutely LOVE my shed. I keep my cat, Bijoux, in there because he's a big tubby baby that freaks out outside. ......himz 👇🏼

There's an a/c, mini fridge, echo dot, and storage for all of my extra crap. It even LOCKS!!!! (No kids getting in here!)

This is my safe space. My quiet zone. My me time. I have everything I need except for a bathroom and sink! It's absolutely perfect and I couldn't ask for anything more! 

I realize not everyone can have this. That's okay. Find something equivalent. Maybe it's locking yourself in the bathroom and taking a nice long soak in the tub. Throw on some calming music and a few candles. Use that epsom salt or bath bomb you've been hoarding in the cabinet.

Have a garden? Go out there. Sit under the trees. Listen to the birds. Tell no one where you are going. They don't need to know. 

And for those that say "I have kids. I can't do that."

Yes, you can.

Now unless you have an infant and it's just you around, no.... No you can't. I get that. That's understandable. 

Otherwise, you CAN and SHOULD take at least 15-20 minutes PER DAY to yourself. I don't care if you have to lock yourself in the toilet. Lock yourself in your car. Say you have to go to the store. No, no one can go with you. 'Why?' BECAUSEEEEEEEE.

For the sake of your mental health, you MUST find time for yourself. Tell yourself good things. Boost your own confidence. Watch funny cat videos and have a good laugh. Make crafts. Garden. Meditate. Practice yoga. Do whatever it is you truly enjoy.

Mental health is a huge deal. You have to take care of yourself. It's why serial killers kill. It's why people turn to drugs. It's sometimes why mass shooting occur. It's why seemingly normal people break and do random crazy things. If your mental health is unstable, YOU are unstable. 

Don't let that be you. Everyone needs their own space. To heal. To overcome. To be at peace with yourself. ♥️

Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel

Okay ladies. I want to share something with you.

Yes, I sell Perfectly Posh and yes, we have great pampering skincare products. 💕 But, nothing I have ever used compares to Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel. 😍

This stuff is AHHHMAZING! 🤩 Very rarely do I suffer from skin issues. But when I do, I never had anything that helped. Until I found Shiseido. It's a very light gel that has salicylic acid. This is for acne treatments. I don't, and never did have acne. But every few years I get these red pimple like bumps on my cheeks that seem to hurt and never go away. I pride my clear skin so when this happens, I freak out.

Stuffed Animal Bean Bag Chair

So I was able to review something I normally don't review. A kid's item!

Being that I don't have kids, I decided that my friend's little girl, Adelyn, would be my little tester! (She performed amazingly by the way!)

The concept is that kids have tons of stuffed animals all over and it's quite difficult to keep the room clean with a pile of them laying around. Kind of a big eye sore. So, this 'bean' bag chair is used to actually store the stuffed animals! While there are not actually 'beans' to fill up the chair, you use the stuffed animals instead! Then it's still comfortable for them to sit on and it's a cute addition to the room.

The chair I got was the grey and white chevron print which, let's be honest, is the most popular print nowadays!
Recently, the seller updated the product and reinforced the seams as they were not holding up very well. So now they are all good on that end!

DQS Portable Makeup Bag

Just like many ladies, I have quite a lot of makeup. From brushes to sponges, eye liner to mascara, eye shadow to blush, I've got it all and then some! When traveling, I really hate shoving as much as I can into little travel bags. I can never find what I need and things tend to leak or break and it just becomes a complete mess!




I was able to review a beautiful makeup case from DQS. It has a shoulder strap that makes it easy to carry with you and zips up tight. The whole top inside cover has slots made for brushes and things of that nature. There's even a flap that keeps all of your items in place.



I can't fit ALL of my makeup in this bag, but it's great for when I'm traveling for a while. This case would work great for special events like weddings, maybe even for makeup artists!

Inside are little slots that hold dividers that you can easily adjust for the size pockets you need. It's very handy for when you have tiny items or larger items such as single eyeshadows or large pallets. Plus, it's very easy to clean if you get it all messy!

When I'm not using it for makeup, I actually use it to keep all of my jewelry I sell in. It works great for my bracelets, necklaces, rings, and earrings! I love how everything is organized and not just thrown into a tote. It's easy for me to grab when someone wants me to go over for them to pick out gifts!

Calily Essential Oil Diffuser

Essential oils have been around for centuries. They help to naturally promote healing and relief of ailments, calm the senses, and some are even used for the skin.

One way to use these essential oils is by aromatherapy diffusion. This is when you drop a few drops of the essential oil(s) of your choice into a bit of water. The diffusion device will then turn the water and oils into a vapor, spreading about the room. I must have about 10 of these diffusers all over my home! I might be obsessed.... But that's not a bad obsession, right?

My latest diffuser is by Calily. This device is an ultrasonic aromatherapy diffuser. It does not use any heat to produce the vapors which keeps the essential oils from changing in any way.

HOW IT WORKS:

So, the way this device works is you unscrew the top portion to fill it with water and oils up to the water line. You must only do this while the device is NOT plugged in. (Safety first) After you have put the cover back on and plugged in the device, you hold the 'Mist' button down for a few seconds. It then begins to diffuse. It starts out slow but gradually gets stronger. If you would like the light to turn on, simply hold the 'Light' button for a few moments and on goes the light. This setting allows it to change colors gradually. If you press it once, it will hold different colors. Press it again to change to the next color.
It works fantastically! Made my dog/laundry room smell amazing and not like pee....

PROS:

Some pros to this product are as follows-
1. Not very easy to spill. The cover snaps back into place and does not come off until you twist it off. So no mess.
2. Simple design.
3. Easy to use.
4. Beautiful LED lights.
5. Easy to clean.
5. Easy to store.
6. Does not change the composition, healing properties, or natural aromas of the essential oils.
7. Cannot overheat as it does not use any heat.
8. Goes off automatically when canister is empty.
9. Extremely quiet.
10. Reasonably priced.



CONS:

I really don't have any cons. It has worked great for me so far! The only thing I can say is that the manufacturer should have proof-read their marketing materials before sending out because smack dab on the back of the box there is a typo.

The colors look WAY better in the dark.

It looks and feels like a lotion but keeps its smoothness long enough to thoroughly enjoy the massage. You don't even need a whole lot of it. Some on the shoulders, some on the back and a streak on each leg! It's a 4 fl.oz. bottle so there is plenty of product.

The honey rose scent is exactly that. A beautiful rose scent with a dash of sweet honey. I normally don't like the floral type scents but this one actually was very relaxing! A few naturally based ingredients include Safflower Seed oil, Sunflower Seed oil, Jojoba Seed oil, Shea Butter, Grape Seed oil, Sweet Almond oil, and Evening Primrose oil. All of which are excellent for moisturizing and softening the skin.





I absolutely recommend this product! I'd just rather a more toned down scent, but that's my personal preference.

Great Head Oral Gel

Now this product, is a little more 'Adult' so be aware.

This product is straight forward. Great Head. It allows the sexual oral act to be more pleasurable for the person giving the head. For most women, this act is not their favorite activity in any way shape or form. Personally, I hate it. It hurts my neck and my jaw and I try to avoid it at all costs! Unfortunately, my significant other LOVES it... as most men do.
