DQS Portable Makeup Bag

Just like many ladies, I have quite a lot of makeup. From brushes to sponges, eye liner to mascara, eye shadow to blush, I've got it all and then some! When traveling, I really hate shoving as much as I can into little travel bags. I can never find what I need and things tend to leak or break and it just becomes a complete mess!




I was able to review a beautiful makeup case from DQS. It has a shoulder strap that makes it easy to carry with you and zips up tight. The whole top inside cover has slots made for brushes and things of that nature. There's even a flap that keeps all of your items in place.



I can't fit ALL of my makeup in this bag, but it's great for when I'm traveling for a while. This case would work great for special events like weddings, maybe even for makeup artists!

Inside are little slots that hold dividers that you can easily adjust for the size pockets you need. It's very handy for when you have tiny items or larger items such as single eyeshadows or large pallets. Plus, it's very easy to clean if you get it all messy!

When I'm not using it for makeup, I actually use it to keep all of my jewelry I sell in. It works great for my bracelets, necklaces, rings, and earrings! I love how everything is organized and not just thrown into a tote. It's easy for me to grab when someone wants me to go over for them to pick out gifts!

I 100% recommend this bag! I have zero problems with it.

Madison Reed Hair Color Review

Happy National Puppy Day everyone! I hope you celebrated your precious pups today. Who am I kidding? We do that everyday!

It's no secret that I change my hair color like I change my undies! I'm always up for something 'different'. But to be completely honest, I didn't always color my hair correctly.

Going to the salon is SOOO expensive! And it got even more expensive as the years passed by. So, I went to box color. I know... Stupid me! I used box color for years. I absolutely LOVED the color, but it was destroying my hair! My hair used to be full and beautiful. With all those years of using box color, my hair got flat and blehhh. It's just lifeless and lost all of its luster. It became so unhealthy, that it looked stringy and was full of split ends! And let me tell you, it takes FOREVER to get it healthy again!

So I'll tell you this right now.... DO NOT USE BOX COLOR FROM THE DRUG STORE! And if you do, STOP!


If you just can't fork up the cash for a professional at the salon to color your hair, there is another option. It's not as expensive as the salon, but not as cheap as drug store box colors.

Thanks to the fabulous Color Crew at Madison Reed, I was able to try one of their hair colors absolutely free! I took the questionnaire to create my Hair Profile. You answer a few simple questions, then they suggest the best colors for you! It's so easy!

I was so excited when my box came in!

They included everything you would need to color your own hair.

  

Everything from gloves to anti-stain creme and even shampoo and conditioner! 

I will say this, doing this on my own was kind of tricky. I suggest you get someone to help you so that you don't miss any spots of hair! 

The instructions that were included were very straight forward and easy to follow. I did change one thing though, and that was when to remove the stains of color on my skin. I removed mine after step 7 just because I was worried about the color not coming off 35-45 minutes later! Anyway, after I got the color on, of which they give you a good amount of product, I let it sit for about 40 minutes and I rinsed it out in luke warm water. I suggest rinsing over the side of your tub so that you don't paint your bathtub a different color with all of the splatter! I absolutely love the fact that the shampoo and conditioner they include comes in a mini sample tube with a cap that closes. Many companies only give you this packet that you have to rip open and if you don't use all of the product at once, you have to just hope it doesn't all spill out or harden. With the mini tubes, I can close the bottle, and have no worries!

Anyways! I absolutely LOVE the color! It's absolutely gorgeous! I ended up using the TRIESTE RED - 5NRM permanent hair color. It's a reddish mahogany brown. Not only is the color beautiful, but my hair feels light and soft! It actually felt natural and not weighed down by a bunch of unhealthy, unnecessary chemicals. Plus, the smell afterwards wasn't overpowering. It was very light, yet still smelled great!

I am absolutely impressed with Madison Reed hair color! They are an amazing company that believes in giving women the best product for their hair.

I would only suggest adding a few more color tones to the collection.

Hair Brush Straightener by Goldmine Natural Beauty Review

Normally, I either don't use a straightener or I just make a quick pass with my Chi iron. It's what I have always used. That, and the generic version of Chi (GVP- Great Value Product) and I love both. The problem is, the older I get, the more unhealthy, brittle, and damaged my hair gets. I'm really tired of using a ceramic hot iron to flatten or curl my hair. All of that pulling and pressing gives my hair some serious damaging effects. The last time I went to my hair stylist, she was in shock at how see through and broken my ends were. I had to cut off at least 2 inches and if you knew me, you'd know I NEVER like to cut my hair at all!

I began using a product that you spray in your hair to help the drying process speed up so that you don't have to use a blow dryer for a shorter period of time, if at all. I still don't feel like that is enough. So, I have made the switch to hair brush straighteners.

I really enjoyed using this hair brush straightener by Goldmine Natural Beauty. Not only is it my favorite color, but it works perfectly for me. It's so easy to use and it's effective but not overly damaging for my fine hair. Simply turn it on, set your desired temperature, and you are good to go! Take your time, Do not be rough with your hair or the brush.

Beautilee Makeup Sponge Blenders and Brush Review

I'm just starting to use sponge blenders for my liquid foundations. I love my buffing brush, but it's not good for contouring. These sponge blenders by Beautilee are great for contouring with creams and liquids. They are super soft, feels great on the skin, and absorbs the foundations well. If you wet it first, then squeeze out the excess water, it will be easier to apply and also clean the sponges afterwards. It also comes with a retractable kabuki brush. It's nice to have a brush I can take where ever I want without messing up the bristles. The only thing is that you have to be careful not to push down the retractable part of the brush too far. It can get stuck and it's not easy to get it back up. This part could use a little change because what's a retractable brush if you can't retract it? It opens up beautifully, closing it is where it can get tricky.

Here is a helpful list of my pros and cons on this product.

- Compact and easy for on the go

Cons:
- Bristles are a bit rough on the skin
- Retractable part of brush gets stuck
- Packaging could use some reinforcement

Hair Brush Straightener by Magicfly Review

I have seen videos of these hair straightener brushes on Facebook and Instagram a lot lately. Honestly, I didn't think it was real. Even the videos looked kind of fake. To my surprise, they exist! And I was able to try one at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion and review of it.


This is one by Magicfly and it actually works! I really didn't think it would but honestly, I feel like it doesn't harm my hair as much as a regular straightener would. With a regular one, you are pressing your hair between 2 very hot ceramic plates and pulling down to straighten. That's just damaging madness! With this hair brush, you are just brushing your hair with heat! No pulling, tugging, or burning. You won't get board straight hair, but it does a decent job for me at least.

Now, in my video, I already have pretty straight hair so you may or may not see much of a difference. But let me tell you, I FELT the difference compared to a normal straightener! My hair usually flattens and gets thinner, losing it's volume after I straighten it. But not with this brush. My volume stays while fixing some of those pesky hairs that just go where ever they please. I don't feel like I burn my hair at all which is a huge plus. It heats up pretty quick and is ready to use in minutes. I'll try to upload a better video with my hair all a mess and obviously not straight so, hold tight!

Just a tip: Brush your hair with your regular brush first. This will take out any knots you have. If you don't, the straightener will catch and pull your hair.
Other than that, I recommend trying this! It's so quick and easy!
